Deva review: After watching the teaser of this film, it was felt that there would be action again, there will be violence, but here the story, suspense, thrill all got together. Shahid has become an actor who never disappoints. His conversion in Deva’s role is the same as Malayalam cinema is showing these days and the director of this film is also the big director of Malayalam films. This film gives tremendous entertainment and Shahid gives a big reason to see it.
Story
Deva is a mad policeman, does not wear uniforms, does not listen to anyone, does his mind. Some people kill a partner like his brother in the function where he has to get the award. Deva investigates this case but something happens to Deva itself that the whole story overturns. Go to see what happens next. This is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, but the story has been adopted from there.
How is the film
This film is a tremendous entertainer, Shahid Kapoor’s style looks that you will forget Kabir Singh. The story binds you from the beginning and after that one of the wonderful scenes and the tremendous performance of Shahid, you do not move away from the screen for 1 second. The action scenes are amazing, all the scenes seem to be very convened. The slums of Mumbai are shown well, you do not know what will happen next in the story and that’s why you hold the breath till the end.
Acting
Shahid Kapoor has done amazing work, he shows so much wonder in him that you are surprised. Shahid will forget Kabir Singh, his expression, action, body language, dialogue delivery, all is so amazing that you cannot remove the eyes. Shahid again told that he has reached a different point in the case of acting. They do not do bad films and not bad acting at all. This film makes his stature bigger. Pooja Hegde is fine, does not impress much. He allowed Shahid to do all the acting. Pavel Gulati’s work is good. Pravesh Rana’s work is fantastic. Kubra Set is unable to impress anything special. Girish Kulkarni is frozen. Upendra Limaye has put life in a small role.
Direction
Roshan Andrews is a big director of Malayalam cinema and Malayalam cinema is doing wonders these days. The same conversation is seen in this film, the hero is absolutely a hero, what you enjoy. The film is woven in a wonderful way, the action dose with suspense is put in the right amount. The story of the film is written by Bobby – Sanjay and the film’s scriplay Bobby – Sanjay, Abbas Dalal, Hussain Dalal, Arshad Syed, Sumit Arora have written together. That is, the screenplay of this film has been written 6 people, and they have all done a good job. The story is the hero of a film and the hero does his work well from here.
Music
Jakes Bejoy and Vishal Mishra’s music is fine, background score is good
Overall, this film entertains a lot and definitely watch it for Shahid’s amazing performance.
