Who is the captain of Lucknow?
Lucknow Super Giants had created history by buying Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore in the mega auction. Pant has left the captaincy of Delhi and joined LSG. Recently, Lucknow franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka had clearly said that he had already made up his mind to spend Rs 25-27 crore to buy Pant. Sanjeev knew that Delhi needed a captain, so he also bid Rs 26.5 crore on Shreyas Iyer. When talks did not work out with Shreyas, Delhi focused on retaining Pant. Lucknow management was also targeting a captain only, Sanjeev Goenka’s words show that they had made a historic bid of Rs 27 crore for Pant only after seeing the captaincy in him.
Who is the captain of Delhi?
Rishabh Pant was captaining Delhi Capitals till IPL 2024. As we told you that Delhi had planned to make a high bid on Shreyas Iyer in the auction, but Punjab Kings bought him for Rs 26.75 crore. RTM card also failed on Pant, in the end the management of Delhi Capitals had to be satisfied with KL Rahul. Rahul was bought by Delhi for Rs 14 crore. A few days ago, DC co-owner Parth Jindal had indicated that both KL Rahul and Akshar Patel can lead the team. But considering his captaincy experience, the captaincy can completely go into the hands of Rahul.
