Shatrughan Sinha On Son Skipping Sonakshi-Zaheer Wedding: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in June this year. The inter-religion marriage of this couple remained in many controversies. It was said that Sinha family was not happy with the marriage of Sonakshi and Zaheer. However, while Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam were seen celebrating their daughter’s wedding, the actress’s twin brothers Luv and Kush were missing from the ceremony. In a recent conversation, Shatrughan Sinha broke his silence on the absence of his sons Luv and Kush at Sonakshi’s wedding.
Why did brothers Luv and Kush not attend Sonakshi’s wedding?
In fact, in an interview given to Lehren Retro, Shatrughan Sinha refused to tell why his son did not attend the wedding of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. However, the veteran actor said, ‘I will not complain. They are only human. They may not be that mature yet. I understand their pain and confusion. There is always a cultural reaction. Perhaps, if I had been his age, I would have had a similar reaction. But, this is where your maturity, seniority and experience come into play. So, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons’.”
Shatrughan Sinha supports daughter Sonakshi’s marriage
When asked if he was supportive of his daughter’s inter-religious marriage, he said, “Of course, I will support my daughter. I have no reason not to do so. He explained, “This is their life and their marriage. They have to live life. If they are sure about each other, then who are we to be against it? As a parent and a father, it was my duty to support him.”
Shatrughan Sinha said, “I have always been with him and will remain so in future too.” We talk so much about women empowerment, then how is it wrong for them to choose their partner? It is not that he has done anything illegal. She is mature.” He further said, “I was enjoying her wedding parties. I was very happy to meet and greet people. They (Sonakshi and Zaheer) were looking very beautiful together. It was a wonderful atmosphere.”

Let us tell you that Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal hosted a star-studded reception after their registered marriage in an intimate function at the actress’s Mumbai home on June 23. Bollywood icons like Salman Khan, Huma Qureshi, Rekha and Kajol attended the couple’s wedding reception.
