Mohammed Siraj Aggression Adelaide Test: Only two days have passed in the Adelaide Test match and the match is on the verge of ending. By the end of the second day, the Indian team has lost 5 wickets in its second innings and is still 29 runs behind Australia. Meanwhile, Mohammad Siraj has come into the news for wrong reasons because in just two days he has clashed with 2 Australian players on the field. Now the situation is such that Siraj can also be punished by the match referee because of his attitude on the field.
Let us remind you that on the first day of the Adelaide Test, Mohammed Siraj got angry at Marnus Labuschagne. Actually, Labuschagne had moved away from the stumps due to a fan coming in front of him, but Siraj got angry and threw the ball towards him. The atmosphere had become very heated due to this incident. On the second day, Travis Head played a brilliant century innings of 140 runs for Australia. When Siraj clean bowled Head by throwing a yorker ball, he gave a send-off to Head in an aggressive nature. Such attitude can put Siraj in trouble on both the days of the match.
What does the rule say?
If we talk about Article 2.5 in the ICC rules and regulations, under it no player can use abusive language on the field or make any gesture towards the batsman after his dismissal. If match referee Ranjan Madugalle finds Siraj violating this rule, he can be given one demerit point. Mohammad Siraj dismissed a total of four batsmen in the first innings of the Adelaide Test. Till now, he has shown the way to the pavilion to 9 batsmen in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.
