Highest T20 Total Baroda SMAT 2024: Baroda team did wonders in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and achieved the world record of making the highest total in T20 cricket. Batting in the first innings of the match being played against Sikkim in the tournament, Baroda put 349/5 runs on the board in 20 overs. This has become the biggest total in the history of T20 cricket (including T20 International) till now.
Earlier, the record of making the highest total in T20 cricket was held in the name of Zimbabwe. On October 23, 2024, in the match played against Gambia, Zimbabwe had scored 344/4 runs on the board in 20 overs.
Apart from the biggest total, many more records were made
Apart from making the highest total in T20 history in the match played against Sikkim, Baroda also set the record of hitting the maximum number of 37 sixes in a T20 innings.
Apart from this, the record of highest score of 294 runs with the help of boundaries (sixes and fours) in an innings of T20 match was also achieved.
This was the first score of more than 300 in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Earlier, the highest score in the tournament was made by Punjab in the last season i.e. 2023. Punjab had scored 275/6 runs in 20 overs in the match against Andhra Pradesh.

In the match, Baroda won the toss and decided to bat and scored 349/5 runs on the board in 20 overs. During this, Bhanu Paniya played the biggest innings for the team and scored 134* runs in 51 balls with the help of 5 fours and 15 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 262.75 runs. Apart from this, Shivalik Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh and Vishnu Solanki scored quick half-centuries.
Shivalik scored 55 runs in just 17 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 323.53. Apart from this, Abhimanyu Singh scored 53 runs in 17 balls with the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 311.76. Rest Vishnu Solanki scored 50 runs in 16 balls with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 312.50.
