IPL 2025 Mega Auction: The auction for the 18th season of the Indian Premier League has taken place. This time’s auction was quite surprising. All the teams spent approximately Rs 640 crore in the auction and bought 182 players. You will be surprised to know that only 3 West Indies players have been sold in this auction. There were three teams which did not buy even a single player for Australia.
Only 3 West Indies players sold in mega auction
Only three West Indies players were sold in the mega auction of IPL 2025. It includes Rovman Powell, Sharfan Rutherford and Romario Shepherd. Shepherd was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.50 crore. Rutherford was sold for Rs 2.60 crore. He was bought by Gujarat Titans. Whereas Powell got only Rs 1.50 crore. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders.
These three teams did not buy a single Australian player
A total of 12 Australian players have been sold in the mega auction. The most surprising thing was that there were three teams which did not buy even a single Australian player. Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians have not bought a single Australian cricketer in the IPL 2025 auction. Whereas, 25 Australian players remained unsold in the IPL 2025 auction. Many big names were also included in this.
