ECB bans players from playing PSL: Pakistan has suffered a big blow amid the Champions Trophy controversy. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has banned its players from participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and other franchise leagues. A report has claimed that England players will no longer be able to participate in other franchise leagues of the world, but separate rules have been made for the Indian Premier League.
According to The Telegraph, ECB CEO Richard Gould says that he also has to strengthen the base of cricket in England and Wales and take the competitions held here to a bigger level. Richard said, “Our non-issuance of NOC (No Objection Certificate) will provide clarity to players and professional county teams. Under this policy, we will be able to provide full support to those players who want to take advantage of the opportunities and gain experience. “
Richard Gould also says that by boycotting external franchise leagues, he also wants to ensure that the competitions held in England are not affected. A rule has also been made for England cricketers that players who do not play first-class cricket will have to play domestic white ball matches at all costs. He will not be given rest from domestic matches for other T20 leagues.
PSL and IPL will compete
