IPL Auction 2025 CSK Players List: Chennai Super Kings were seen quite active in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Even on the second day, this team was seen bidding in a clever manner. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has bought Sam Curran for Rs 2.40 crore. Gujarat Titans have won over India’s emerging spin bowler Washington Sundar, the last bid for him was Rs 3.20 crore. Whereas Delhi Capitals has got a bumper profit, because DC has bought Faf du Plessis for just Rs 2 crore.
Faf du Plessis was captaining Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since 2022, his personal performance has also been excellent. His base price in the mega auction was Rs 2 crore and Delhi Capitals was successful in buying him at the base price. CSK has bought Sam Curran, who played for Chennai Super Kings in 2020-2021, for Rs 2.40 crore. Apart from him, Gujarat Titans played a bet and bought Washington Sundar for Rs 3.20 crore.
No other team bid on Faf Duplessis, but CSK had to face competition from Lucknow Super Giants to buy Sam Curran. On the other hand, a fight was seen between Gujarat and Lucknow teams on Washington Sundar. His base price was Rs 2 crore and Lucknow did not think it right to bid beyond Rs 3 crore. Finally, Gujarat included Sundar in their squad by bidding Rs 3.20 crore.
Sundar played his last season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Du Plessis was scoring more than 400 runs in the last three seasons for RCB. Du Plessis meanwhile also scored 730 runs in the 2023 season. Sam Curran has also taken 883 runs and 58 wickets in his IPL career.
