Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2025: The bugle for the next season of the Indian Premier League has been sounded. The mega auction for IPL 2025 will be held on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before the mega auction, all the teams have released their lists of retained players. Last season’s winner Kolkata Knight Riders has retained a total of 6 players. However, KKR has released its captain Shreyas Iyer.
Kolkata Knight Riders team will enter IPL 2025 with a new captain. If reports are to be believed, KKR has finalized the name of its new captain. If media reports are to be believed, KKR is now going to hand over the command to Rinku Singh. Rinku will be the new captain of KKR and will replace Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2025. However, KKR has not announced it officially yet.
Rinku Singh was part of KKR till last season for Rs 55 lakh. He is the first batsman in the history of IPL to win the match by hitting five sixes in the last five balls. This time i.e. for IPL 2025, Kolkata has retained Rinku Singh for Rs 13 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakraborty, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana for IPL 2025. KKR has retained 4 capped players and 2 uncapped players. Rinku Singh has been retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 13 crore. Varun Chakraborty has been retained for Rs 12 crore, Sunil Narine for Rs 12 crore, Andre Russell for Rs 12 crore, Harshit Rana for Rs 4 crore and Ramandin Singh for Rs 4 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders have spent around Rs 57 crore out of Rs 120 crore on retaining 6 players. Now KKR will have Rs 63 crore in the mega auction of IPL 2025.
