Chhath Puja 2024: The four-day long festival of folk faith, Chhath, has begun. Today is the first day of Chhath festival, which is called Nahay Khay. The next day is Kharna, which is the second and important day of the Mahaparva.

According to religious belief, Chhathi Maiya arrives on the day of Kharna, hence this day is considered very important in the Chhath festival.
Kharna Puja Muhurta (Kharna 2024 Time)
The auspicious time of Kharna Puja will be from 5.29 pm to 7.48 pm on 6th November. During this time, fasting women should perform Kharna Puja.
Kharna Puja Vidhi
On the day of Kharna Puja, the fasting person should prepare to make Prasad only after taking bath. After bathing, first of all offer Arghya to Sun God. After this, make Kheer (Kharna Kheer Prasad) from Sathi rice and jaggery on an earthen stove. Along with this, also make sweet roti and keep ripe bananas. First of all, offer these Prasad on Chhathi Maiya and light incense sticks. After this, at the auspicious time, take the Prasad of Kharna yourself. The fasting person should not eat anything after taking Kharna Prasad. After this, the fast is broken by offering Usha Arghya (Surya Arghya).
