IPL 2025 Mega Auction MS Dhoni: Chennai Super Kings has started preparations for the mega auction of IPL 2025. The team will soon release the retained and released list of players. Before this, former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will meet CSK officials. According to a report, Dhoni can hold a meeting in the last week of this month (October). It is not decided yet whether Dhoni will play in the next season or not. Along with this, it is also not decided how much salary he will take if he plays.
According to a news from Sports, Dhoni can meet the officials of Chennai Super Kings on 29th or 30th October. He is not available for the meeting till 28th October. The process for the next season will be decided only after the meeting between Dhoni and CSK officials. If Dhoni plays, the biggest question will be whether he will play as a capped player or uncapped. If Dhoni plays as an uncapped player, there will be a loss in salary.
How will Dhoni’s salary be decided?
Dhoni is playing for CSK since 2018. He had previously played for Rising Pune Supergiants in two seasons. But he joined the team as soon as the ban on CSK was lifted. He is getting Rs 12 crore as salary from the 2022 season itself. But now after the meeting it will be decided how they will play. If Dhoni plays for CSK as an uncapped player then the salary will reduce.
