Tata Group Airlines: The merger of Air India and Vistara, owned by Tata Group, is going to happen on November 12. After this, Vistara airline will come to an end. However, the name of Vistara airline will not be erased yet. The airline will continue to operate under the same name. But, its code will change. The code of Vistara airline will be as per Air India. After the merger, Vistara will be run by Air India and AI 2 will be used as prefix in Vistara’s flight code.
Now flights will fly with AI 2 code instead of UK code
Air India says that currently UK code is used for Vistara. Now it will run with AI 2 code. If currently the code of a flight is UK 955 then the new code will be AI 2955. Air India has assured that apart from changing the name of Vistara, everything will remain the same as before. All products and offers will continue to be available as before. All routes and timings will also be the same. Apart from this, the flight experience and crew will also be from Vistara. We will not let any customer face any problem.
Club Vistara and Flying Returns will be merged into Maharaja Club.
The big airline formed after the merger of Air India and Vistara will provide its services on 90 domestic and international routes. It will also reach around 800 destinations through codeshare and interline partners. Club Vistara customers will be linked to the Air India Flying Returns programme. These will gradually be merged into Maharaja Club.
Air India is making 27 aircraft modern, aircraft will increase
After this merger, the number of aircraft with Air India will also increase. There will also be 6 A350 aircraft. Currently he is flying between Delhi and London. Soon they will also be operated from Delhi to New York. Apart from this, Air India is also working on modernizing 27 aircraft. This work will be completed by mid-2025.
