Tata Sons: Tata Group’s giant semiconductor plant being built in Dholera has now got the support of Taiwanese giant PSMC. PSMC will provide design and construction support to this plant of Tata Electronics. Officials of both the companies met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday and discussed semiconductor manufacturing in the country.

After this meeting, PM Modi wrote on social media platform PSMC is excited about India and wants to expand its business here. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that PSMC’s technology and expertise will make it much easier for Tata Electronics to make semiconductors. Gujarat’s Dholera plant will be India’s first to run with AI support. Tata Electronics has set a target of achieving first position in semiconductor manufacturing. He said that we will supply chips from here to the whole world.
Tata plant expected to create around 1 lakh jobs
This chip manufacturing plant of Tata Group is being built at a cost of approximately Rs 91 thousand crores. About 1 lakh jobs are expected to be created with the help of this plant. 50 thousand wafers can be made every month in the Dholera plant. According to PSMC CEO Frank Huang, our partnership with Tata Group will benefit both the companies. Semiconductor manufacturing is being promoted in India. This will help Taiwanese companies to expand their presence here faster.
