There was a controversy over Surya’s catch
This catch of Suryakumar Yadav completely turned the tide of the final match in India’s favour. In the last over, South Africa had to score 16 runs to win and the ball was handed over to Hardik Pandya. Hardik bowled a full-toss on the very first ball, on which David Miller swung his bat very fast. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant have also said that according to them the ball was going to cross the boundary.
Well, Surya took the catch while running, but a video surfaced in which it was claimed that a small part of Suryakumar’s foot had touched the boundary line. The cricket world was divided into two groups on this, but a few days later a new video surfaced in which it was clear that Suryakumar’s catch was absolutely clean.
