KL Rahul Leaving Lucknow Super Giants: When Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) failed to make it to the playoffs in IPL 2024, a video of Lucknow franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka venting his anger on KL Rahul went viral. During the season, fans were also chanting slogans for Rahul to join Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the field. Now it is being claimed that Rahul is really going to leave Lucknow and an official announcement of this can be made soon.
It is being claimed on social media that KL Rahul has left Lucknow Super Giants. Although no formal announcement has been made by Rahul and LSG franchise yet, it is almost certain that Rahul is going to leave the Lucknow team. When LSG entered the Indian Premier League in the year 2022, KL Rahul was bought by this team and made its captain. LSG reached the playoffs twice under Rahul’s captaincy, but the team could not repeat that performance in 2024.
KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka met
A few weeks ago, when the rumours of KL Rahul leaving the Lucknow team were at their peak, a media report revealed that Sanjiv Goenka had refused to comment on these rumours, but he had described Rahul as a part of a family. At the same time, a few weeks ago, PTI released a report revealing that on one hand Rahul had expressed hope of being retained by LSG, but this time the LSG franchise did not put forward any clear stand, which fuelled the possibilities of Rahul leaving the team.
