Most Runs Conceded In an innings in ODI by Indian Bowler: Batsmen often dominate ODI cricket, but bowlers also have plenty of opportunities to showcase their skills and variety. However, sometimes the conditions become so difficult that it becomes extremely difficult for the bowlers to stop the batsmen. Because of this, the spells of some bowlers prove to be expensive and a record of giving runs is created. Here we are telling about some such expensive spells of Indian ODI cricket, where the bowlers failed to stop the runs.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a spell against South Africa in 2015 that he would probably never want to remember. He gave away 106 runs in his 10 overs, which is one of the most expensive spells bowled by an Indian bowler in ODIs. India lost the match and also the series 3-2. - Vinay Kumar
Vinay Kumar is the second highest run-getter on this list, who conceded 102 runs in an ODI against Australia in 2013. He did not even bowl his full quota of 10 overs, yet he conceded so many runs. Despite this, India won both the match and the series, but Vinay’s performance was disappointing. - Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s name is once again in this list. In the ODI match played against New Zealand in Kanpur in 2017, he gave 92 runs. Bhuvneshwar bowled well with the new ball, but he proved to be very expensive in the death overs. However, India won this thrilling match. - yuzvendra chahal
In the first ODI against Australia in 2020, Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket for 89 runs in his 10-over spell. Australia managed to win the match by 66 runs. - zaheer khan
Zaheer Khan conceded 88 runs in the 2009 ODI against Sri Lanka in Rajkot. The match was a high scoring one with both teams scoring over 400 runs. However, Zaheer bowled some excellent yorkers towards the end of the match which helped India win.
