Beware of fake calls
The Central Pension Accounting Office, which comes under the Ministry of Finance of the Government of India, warned the pensioners and wrote, it has come to our notice that fraudsters are contacting pensioners by claiming themselves to be officers of Central Pension Accounting Office, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. These fraudsters are sending forms to pensioners through WhatsApp, Email, SMS and asking them to fill it. If this form is not filled, these fraudsters are also threatening to stop the payment of pension from the next month.
Do not share your details
The Central Pension Accounting Office has requested all pensioners to avoid falling prey to such scams and be extremely cautious. The CPAO has asked pensioners not to share their PPO number, date of birth and bank account details with anyone. The Central Pension Accounting Office said in its statement, the CPAO, banks or other government agencies never ask pensioners to share such information.
