Dinesh Karthik Joins Legends League Cricket: Dinesh Karthik has also made a big announcement just a day after Shikhar Dhawan joined Legends League Cricket (LLC). Karthik had announced his retirement from cricket on his birthday i.e. 1 June this year. Now he has decided to step into Legends League Cricket, in which retired cricketers are seen playing. It is worth noting that Karthik has taken up many projects apart from commentary, despite this he has decided to play in LLC.
This Indian wicketkeeper batsman expressed happiness about joining the Legends League Cricket and said, “LLC is a league in which I am very excited to play after retirement. I am physically and mentally ready for this new challenge. I hope that I will be able to play high level cricket. Most of all, I would like to thank the fans who have supported me a lot and hope that I will be able to entertain you once again by entering the field.”
Karthik set out to become Iron Man at the age of 39
Dinesh Karthik turned 39 this year, but he has set out to become an Iron Man by taking up a lot of work projects. With increasing age, the body starts getting tired, but even before joining LLC, he was seen doing commentary work in England’s domestic league ‘The Hundred’. Just a few months ago, he was seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2024.
IPL 2024 was his last season as a player, but after retirement he has joined RCB as a batting coach. He also travels around the world as the brand ambassador of the SA20 League. Apart from being the brand ambassador of this league, he will also be seen playing for Paarl Royals.
