Actually, it is being claimed that Vinesh has been given prize money by different organizations of the country. Vinesh has been given Rs 2 crore each by Haryana Vyapar Sangathan, International Jat Mahasabha and Punjab Jat Association. Similarly, the total amount in the post is stated to be Rs 16 crore and Rs 30 lakh. But Vinesh’s husband Somwar Rathi has denied this claim. He has shared the post on Instagram and termed it wrong.
Vinesh Phogat had secured the silver medal in the Paris Olympics. But before the gold medal match, she was found overweight. Vinesh’s weight was 100 grams more. She was disqualified for this reason.
