The name of this disease is Pilonidal Sinus. Doctors say that this is a very painful disease, in which pus forms near the tailbone. As soon as the UPSC aspirant came to know about this disease, everyone was shocked. He is undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.
How dangerous is pilonidal sinus disease?
In a statement issued by Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, it has been told that Pilonidal Sinus is a painful condition. In this, broken hair gets accumulated under the skin, due to which pus keeps forming near the tailbone. It is also called Jeepers Bottom. Doctors say that the student used to sit for hours on the library chairs, due to which he got this disease. He realized the disease after feeling painful swelling in his buttock cleft.
What did the doctor who did the surgery say
Dr. Tarun Mittal, who performed the surgery on the student, told about the disease and the student’s condition that the student’s condition worsened as the pus increased and the pain became unbearable. He was confined to bed. After seeing his condition, we chose the option of EPSiT (Endoscopic Pilonidal Sinus Tract Ablation Surgery). Our effort is to make sure that he recovers as soon as possible.
This is so that he can recover as quickly as possible with this technique and return to his studies as soon as possible.’ The doctor told that in this surgery, the scope is inserted into the tract and the hair is seen and then they are removed with grasping forceps. After removing all the hair and wrong things, the tract is burnt. After this, it was cleaned with a brush. It took about half an hour to remove all the hair from his cavity.

Doctors say that sitting for long hours can cause such problems. In such a situation, if you want to avoid pilonidal sinus or any such disease, then young people who study or work for hours sitting should avoid doing so.
