PAK vs BAN Test Series: After losing the Test series 2-0 against Bangladesh, Pakistan team is facing a lot of criticism in the cricket world. In the first match, the bowlers had to face criticism due to poor bowling, while in the second match, the team’s batting was mediocre. With this, Bangladesh has defeated Pakistan in a Test series for the first time. Due to poor performance, questions are bound to be raised on the place of many players in the Pak team, who may be out very soon.
1. Babar Azam
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s T20 and ODI team, is struggling with poor form. He scored only 64 runs in 4 innings of 2 matches against Bangladesh. It is also a shocking fact that Babar has not scored even a half-century in the last 16 Test innings. At the same time, his last century came against New Zealand in December 2022. To leave this period of poor form behind, Babar can take a break and sit out of the team for the time being.
2. Abdullah Shafiq
Abdullah Shafiq has been an integral part of the Test team since his debut in 2021. In 2 matches against Bangladesh, he has scored 42 runs at an average of just 10.50 as an opener. He has managed to score only 46 runs in his last seven Test innings and has been out for zero three times during this period. His poor form is preventing Pakistan from getting a good start in the matches.
3. Shan Masood
Even the place of Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood is in danger. His highest score in the series against Bangladesh was 57 runs and only 105 runs came from his bat in the entire series. Not only are questions being raised on his batting but his captaincy is also being blamed for Pakistan’s defeat. In such a situation, apart from captaincy, Shan may also have to lose the team’s playing eleven.
4. Muhammad Ali
Mohammad Ali is a right-arm fast bowler who made his Test debut for Pakistan in 2022. He has played 4 Test matches so far, but has taken only 6 wickets. He got a chance to play both the Test matches against Bangladesh, in which he could take only 2 wickets. These figures are proving that Ali has not been able to capitalize on the opportunities he has got so far, due to which he may possibly be dropped from the team.
5. Abrar Ahmed
Right-arm leg-spin bowler Abrar Ahmed was included in the playing eleven for the second Test match against Bangladesh. On one hand, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan were proving to be effective in spin bowling from Bangladesh, on the other hand, Abrar Ahmed was not that effective. He was able to take only one wicket in the second match. He has taken 39 wickets in 7 matches so far, but the last 2 series have been very bad for him.
