- America suffers first defeat in T20 World Cup
Pakistan suffered another shocking defeat in a match played against the USA during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on 6 June 2024. In this match played at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, both Pakistan and USA scored 159 runs, which led to the game going into a Super Over. The USA set a target of 19 runs in the Super Over, which Pakistan could not achieve and lost the match by five runs. On 10 May 2024, Pakistan played the first T20 match of their tour against Ireland. The match took place in Dublin, where Pakistan got a challenging target of 183 runs.
