ICC Meeting on Champions Trophy 2025: Due to the conflict between India and Pakistan, clouds of danger are looming over the Champions Trophy tournament. On one hand there is BCCI which has refused to send its team across the border, on the other hand Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also made its stand clear that it wants to organize the entire tournament in Pakistan. Apart from this, PCB is also not ready to accept the hybrid model. Meanwhile, ICC has called a meeting on 29th November i.e. today. Let us know which issues can be discussed in depth in this meeting?
Let us tell you that this virtual meeting will be attended by all the 12 full members and 3 associate members of ICC. Including the ICC Chairman, the number of voting members becomes 16. There are speculations that three topics may be discussed in the meeting.

Although PCB has been saying that it rejects the hybrid model, but recently the discussions on hybrid model have intensified. If the hybrid model is implemented, there is speculation that India’s matches will be held in UAE. There is a lot of hope for adopting the hybrid model because with this, Pakistan will not have to give up hosting the Champions Trophy, while India will not have to think about the security arrangements. But nothing is clear yet, so other options will also be considered in the meeting.
India-Pak match should be held in Pakistan!
There can be a demand from Pakistan that whenever India-Pak match is held, it should be played in Pakistan. Apart from this, PCB can also demand that the final should also be played in Pakistan only. Since the Indian team has clearly refused to cross the border, the option of holding the India-Pak match in Pakistan may be cancelled.
Entire tournament outside Pakistan
If Pakistan does not accept the hybrid model under any circumstances, then ICC may be forced to withdraw hosting of Champions Trophy from Pakistan. In such a situation, the entire tournament can be shifted outside Pakistan. If some media reports are to be believed, if such a situation arises, Sri Lanka can be given the opportunity to host the Champions Trophy.
