CSK Players List IPL Auction 2025: From the first day of the IPL 2025 mega auction, the strategy of Chennai Super Kings has been that it will insist on buying its old players. Something similar has happened till now because Chennai Super Kings have till now bought back many old players including Sam Curran, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway. But there are some names which CSK tried to buy again but due to less money the team management could not bid higher.
1. Deepak Chahar (Mumbai Indians)
Deepak Chahar had been playing for Chennai Super Kings since 2018. He is considered close to MS Dhoni and their jugalbandhi on the field has proved very effective for CSK many times. His base price in the mega auction was Rs 2 crore and initially a competition was seen between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. Meanwhile, CSK bid Rs 8 crore and then Rs 9 crore on Deepak, but MI was in dire need of a fast bowler. Here, due to less money in the purse, Chennai management was forced to divert attention from Deepak.
2. Sameer Rizvi (Delhi Capitals)
Sameer Rizvi came into limelight during the IPL 2024 auction. Before playing the last season, he had performed brilliantly in the UP T20 League, so in the 2024 mini auction, Chennai Super Kings made a bumper bid of Rs 8.40 crore on him. But in the IPL 2025 mega auction, Delhi Capitals bought him for just Rs 95 lakh. Rizvi is a middle order batsman, plays the role of finisher.
3. Tushar Deshpande (Rajasthan Royals)
Tushar Deshpande remained a part of the squad of Chennai Super Kings from the year 2022, for this team Tushar had taken a total of 38 wickets in the last 2 seasons. Chennai Super Kings was the first to bid on him in the mega auction, but Rajasthan Royals were not ready to give up their insistence. Ultimately, due to less money left in the purse, CSK had to withdraw after bidding Rs 6.25 crore.
