The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed the first 100 days of its third term. In these 100 days, the Modi government has maintained its focus on infrastructure. During this period, the Modi government has approved infrastructure projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore.
This port project is the biggest
According to a report by ET, infrastructure projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore have been approved in the first 100 days of the third term of the Modi government. The biggest project among them is the port in Vadhavan, Maharashtra. A project worth Rs 76,200 crore has been approved for that port. Apart from that, Rs 49 thousand crore has been approved for the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, under which 62,500 km long road is going to be constructed in rural India.
Attention from road to rail and airport
The government has also approved eight National High-Speed Road Corridor projects. Their length will be 936 km and the estimated cost is Rs 50,600 crore. The infrastructure projects approved in the first 100 days of Modi 3.0 include development of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, development of new civil enclaves at airports in Bagdogar in West Bengal and Bihta in Bihar, 8 new railway line projects, Shinkhun La tunnel connecting Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, etc.
Focus on infrastructure remains intact in the third term
During the first two terms of the Modi government, focus has been on the development of infrastructure in the country. From the projects approved in the first 100 days of the third term, it seems that the Modi government is going to keep the focus on the development of infrastructure in this term as well. The projects that have been approved now aim to improve connectivity in the country, accelerate economic growth, create new employment opportunities and make people’s lives easier.
Infra projects will be beneficial in this way
For example, the port being built in Maharashtra will expand the import-export facility. After it is fully ready, it will be counted among the top 10 ports in the world. 25 thousand villages will benefit from rural road projects. The high-speed road corridor will reduce the distance between two cities. The completion of the tunnel whose foundation stone was laid recently by Prime Minister Modi will provide Ladakh the benefit of connectivity throughout the year.
